| When sought-after computer consultant John
McCavert was seriously injured in a horrific car crash with a mobile crane in
1989, the future looked bleak. Although his last contract had been to design
and develop the official UK pop chart system for Gallup Poll - used by the BBC
and the music industry - permanent memory and concentration problems prevented
him from continuing in his career. The outlook for John, his wife Madelaine and
their three young sons was gloomy. The couple decided Madelaine should start work, but doing what? About this time, they decided to try Klamath Lake Algae, which a Sunday Times article dubbed "the miracle superfood" and which is enjoyed by celebrities including Demi Moore, Bruce Willis and Mel Gibson. Three weeks later, both were experiencing increased energy levels and a heightened sense of well-being and mental clarity. As well as increased resistance to colds and infections, John was delighted both his memory and concentration were improving and he was much less nervy and anxious than at any time since his accident. Madelaine who had suffered from PMS and irregular periods for years, was amazed to discover that these symptoms almost disappeared after she started taking the algae. They were so impressed that Madelaine began investigating the algae - which helps to maintain the body's immune system through a combination of easily assimilable nutrients including vitamins, trace elements, digestive enzymes, amino acids and anti-oxidents. - and the beautiful lake in the USA where it grows. Drawing on her eduction as a nurse in her native Sweden, her training as a professional cook in the UK and a lifelong interest in complementary medicine, Madelaine decided to start importing and sellling the algae herself. It is now five years since she started and today, she is director of Datchet based Ace Nutrition Limited, having supplied over 100,000 customers. She is determined to establish Ace Nutrition as the leading UK brand in "wildcrafted" (or natural) Klamath Lake Algae and other Nutritional Supplements. Madelaine attributes this success to a relentless commintment to quality and to ensuring the algae's purity. "Our algae is freeze dried, which although expensive, retains the maximum nutritional content and is the most gentle method of preserving," explains Madelaine. "Ace Nutrition Limited algae is tested for all necessary contaminents. Ace Nutrition provides Klamath Lake Algae approved by the Vegetarian Society. They distribute their products via retailers and pratitioners and directly to the public using mail order operation and their new, e-commerce enabled, secure website. Innovation plays a major part in the company's success and includes offering algae in tablet, capsule or powder form. The development of capsules and tablets a third of the usual size have also proved popular with children and some adults who experience difficulty in swallowing large capsules and tablets. Ace Nutrition Limited has now launched a further range of Vegetarian Society Approved, "Green Superfoods", including Spirulina from the unspoilt Coast of Hawaii, Chlorella from the Yaeyama Corporation of Japan and its "Green Synergy" algae mix. The McCaverts scour the globe for the best natural sources and say they only import the highest quality superfoods. They also test every product personally before launch to satisfy themselves it meets their high standards. Born from a tragic accident, Ace Nutrition Limited is now expanding into European markets and is introducing new organic or wildcrafted, fresh freeze-dried botanicals matching the quality and purity of its Klamath Lake Algae. These are also approved by the Vegetarian Society. "It is wonderful to be able to achieve again," concluded the McCaverts as Ace Nutrition Limited doubles its sales every year and the family faces a brighter, healthier future. |
